The Realities of Domestic Violence Against Men
Studies have found that 25% of American women have reported having been the victims of abuse by their partners at some point in their lives. It's a huge, continuing problem that shows no signs of abating. But men are also the victims of domestic abuse, in both hetero- and homosexual relationships. About 7.6% of American men have reported being the victims of domestic abuse at some point in their lives. However, because of the stigma many men feel about being victims of abuse, much of it goes unreported. It's impossible to say just how many men have been the victims of violence in the home.
