Beware of Intellectual Debates Where the Other Party Tries to Play the Emotional IQ Card

Often in intellectual debates, as one party shows emotion the other party will use psychological emotional control scenarios to gain the upper hand. If someone tries this on you, call their bluff. Not long ago someone tried this with me and claimed to be a poor researcher, who was merely just an observer, thus, backtracking from his earlier comments.
